French Media have never been too polite with Israel. In fact, one of the biggest mess-ups in media history was caused by French TV, when Israel forces allegedly shot Muhammed al-Dura, 11 year old Palestinian boy. Part of the scene were caught on French cameras. But the TV Network did not allow anyone to see the whole footage. Later it became clear, that Israeli soldiers could not have fired the deadly shots, they must have come from Palestinian extremists.
Now French TV Network 2 had to admit that it used footage of a different incident in 2005. The curx: the footage shows an an incident in which civilians were killed by an explosion caused by Palestinian militants themselves.
